VOLUNTEERS

Neighbors Helping Neighbors (NHN) is based on a foundation of volunteers providing support to others in our community.  Our volunteers are the face and heart of this ministry!

NHN welcomes volunteers from all geographic areas.

Volunteers will be background screened, oriented and trained prior to providing services.

Volunteers who choose to provide transportation will be asked to drive their personal vehicle.  Volunteer drivers will be asked to provide a current copy of their driver’s license, automobile registration, DMV record (cost reimbursed by NHN) and proof of insurance.  Also, an acceptable driving record is defined as no more than two chargeable accidents in a three-year period and no reckless driving charges.

Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

A volunteer application is available on the website or can be emailed/mailed upon request.

Volunteers will indicate the days and time of the week they prefer to offer services on the volunteer application. Volunteers will also indicate the areas they are interested in providing services.  Members are encouraged to schedule requests the week before, at which time volunteers will be contacted.

The NHN Board of Directors wishes to
                                                            express sincere appreciation for
                                                             those who volunteer to serve!!!
